I finished this up yesterday it was a quick and easy knit on US 7, seamlessly knit from the top down. I used three colors of Berroco Comfort, with about a half of each ball remaining when completed. This yarn is machine wash and dry, it feels great and is a wonderful choice for babies and children. The pattern is only written for one size (6-12 months) but easily be modified for a larger child if you are familiar with the construction of a top down sweater.
I made Willow Cowl during the holidays using Trail Socks. This is a great one skein project for that special sock yarn in your stash, however this had only 325 m and I had to break into the second skein for the last few rows and bind off. I highly recommend this project for variegated yarns, the decreases and lace sections of this as well as knitting in the round help to shift the color placement and prevent pooling or flashing.
The Gooseberry hat was knit with a new yarn by Joseph Galler called Cupcake. It was a quick knit and used only half the ball, the remaining yarn is destined for some adorable booties. The yarn is 70% baby alpaca and 30% silk, has a great hand and is very soft. All of these garments are being displayed in Iron Horse at this time.
I spend the day hand washing a pile of sweaters socks and shawls, Eucalan is wonderful and now I need more. I am finally going to sew the eyes on my Owl sweater and will post some pictures of it, I finished it 4 months ago! I have also been working on Amethyst and Circle Yoke Pullover with the yarn for Vine Yoke Cardigan calling to me from the bag. I also have Amused and Francis Revisited to finish. There is only a few more months left of sweater wearing weather, we hope.

Another year gone by and still a pile of yarn in the corner of the living room. Will I ever knit from the stash? Someone new to Ravelry had asked why people post their stash, my reply was that you don’t have to go bin diving. It could take hours to find something of mine if it weren’t forRavelry. I’m really making the effort this year, I swear. I starting by moving my 52+ pages of queue on Ravelry to faves. My queue is now only three pages and have only 4 or 5 things on it that will need yarn to buy. I’m sure a few months from now this story will change but for now I will at least try.
I joined the Mission Possible 2010 group so here goes….

In addition to this I am shooting for the 10 shawls in 2010 goal as well (a few included above.) I will use stash for the shawls but I want to make Mara with some Madelinetosh that I will have to purchase.
That is a very possible list and with Ravelympics 2010 to help I hope to get it all done this year.
I started working at my LYS during november last year. I love working there and has been as great experience so far. I have knit some samples for the store and get to taste the yarns, I’m so lucky. And more so the people I work with are great.
Right now I am finishing a childs sweater for the store and have a shawl on the needles for the store as well. I am starting Circle Yoke Pullover. I plan is to be working on the Vine Yoke Cardigan for Ravelympics 2010 starting 2/12 unless I get that started/done earlier it will be the Lightweight Pullover.
Off to knit….
